Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Photos you upload. When you submit a photo of a parlay card, we store the image and use it to identify the printed games and any handwritten name, wager amount, and picks on the card.

Phone number, when you sign in. You can upload a photo without an account, but you must sign in with a phone number to see its results. We collect your phone number to send a one-time verification code and to associate your submissions with your account.

Session and device information. We assign every visitor a session identifier, stored in a browser cookie, so we can associate a submission with the browser that made it, whether or not you sign in. We also log standard technical information such as IP address and request timestamps for security and debugging.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how people use the service. It records the pages you visit, the buttons and links you click, and actions such as uploading a card, confirming a venue, or signing in, along with your browser and device type, your IP address, and an approximate location derived from that IP address. If you sign in, these records are linked to your account’s internal user ID. We never send PostHog your phone number. PostHog stores its own identifier in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage so it can recognize the same browser across visits.

Session recordings. We record every session on the site so we can see how pages are used and find problems. A recording captures page content, mouse movements, taps, and scrolling. Before a recording leaves your browser, we mask or block sensitive content: everything you type into form fields, your phone number, entry names, bettor names, wager amounts, and card photos. Recordings are kept for 30 days.

Errors and performance. We collect error reports, browser console messages, and the timing of page loads and network requests (not their contents) to find and fix problems. When we process your photo, we record how long it took and how much processing it used, but not the photo or what’s written on it.

How we use information

• To identify the games and picks printed or written on a submitted card.
• To match your card against real-world game results and compute win/loss/push outcomes.
• To send a one-time passcode and verify your identity when you sign in.
• To let you view your own submissions and their results.
• To understand how the service is used, measure growth, and find and fix problems.
• To secure the service and prevent abuse.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Anthropic, whose Claude models process the photo you submit in order to read the printed and handwritten content on it.
• Twilio, which delivers the one-time passcode text message used to verify your phone number when you sign in. See the Twilio Campaign Terms and Conditions for details on that messaging program.
• Google Cloud, which hosts our infrastructure and stores uploaded photos and our database.
• PostHog, which provides our usage analytics, session recordings, and error and performance monitoring, as described above.
• ESPN’s public scoreboard data is used to determine final game scores; we do not send your personal information to ESPN.
• Service providers who help us operate the service, bound to confidentiality.
• Law enforcement or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights.

Data retention

We retain submitted photos, extracted card data, and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your information at any time using the contact information below. Session recordings are deleted after 30 days. Other analytics data held by PostHog, including usage events and error reports, is deleted after 1 year.

Your choices

You can upload a photo without an account, but you must sign in with a phone number to see its results. If you upload a photo and never sign in, we still process and keep the photo and the information read from it, tied only to your browser session rather than to an account. You won’t be able to see its results, and it can’t be added to an account later unless you sign in from the same browser before that session expires. The printed games on the card may still appear on public card and venue pages, as they do for any submission, but the handwritten name, wager amount, and picks do not. You can stop using the service at any time and request that we delete data associated with your phone number or session by contacting us below.

Age requirement

ParlayCards.ai is for people 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
